Between October 27th & November 11th, 2009, I traveled with two native guides to explore five regions of Bhutan. Our journey at times was difficult, accommodations were basic, temperatures colder than expected and paths longer than hoped for. Yet every step of this journey; through eleven time zones and difficult terrain, was more than worth it.

I was granted the privilege of being a guest in a land with a deep understanding of what is truly important. Bhutan is a monarchy run by a benevolent king who measures his success by the “happiness” of his people. This was completely evident as we traveled throughout the country. The images in this gallery are a gift from the People of Bhutan and I am pleased to show you what I saw while visiting.
